Join the McMillan Library for a presentation by Arthur Rathburn on his new book To a Better Place.
To a Better Place is a meticulously researched novel that traces the life of John Rathbone, who, after arriving in Massachusetts in 1654 and encountering religious and political prejudices, settles on Block Island near Rhode Island. The story, deeply rooted in early American history, brings to life the experiences of the Rathbone family and their interactions with real colonials who shaped their journey in the New World.

The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive that is open to the public. You can save up to 3 lives just by donating blood. Adults and teens 16 and over are eligible to donate. Visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-733-2767 to register for an appointment between 10am and 3pm. You can also drop by to see if there are any openings to donate. Face coverings are optional for donors. Thank you for saving lives!
Monday Movies - Past Lives

Join us Monday afternoons at 1:30pm and Monday evenings at 6pm for a movie in our Fine Arts Center theater. This week we'll be showing "Past Lives" which is rated PG-13 and runs 1h 45m. Nora and Hae Sung, two deeply connected childhood friends, are wrested apart after Nora's family emigrates from South Korea. Twenty years later, they are reunited for one fateful week as they confront notions of love and destiny.
