Getting a library card at McMillan is easy. Stop by our Service Desk (right inside of our doors) or either of our desks upstairs. We'll have you fill out a form and issue you a library card on the spot. All we need is your contact info (off a photo id, for instance) and proof of your current address, from an id or a bill, piece of mail, lease, etc.
We don't have a minimum age for children to get a library card -- we leave that decision to parents/guardians. Children under 14 years of age must obtain their legal guardian's signature on the application to receive a card. We do not require a parent to have a card before we issue one to a child (although we highly encourage it).
