Join Kristen and Rob in the Makerspace to relax, draw lines, and paint using watercolors. If you're artistically talented or not, this is a meditative, mindful exercise meant to calm and bring you inspiration through doodling.
There are two sessions to choose from: a 10AM and a 2PM
Join Rob and Kristen in the Fine Arts Center for a presentation on Street Art and the artist known as Banksy. After learning about his iconic art, we will move into the All Purpose Room and create our own Banksy art.
Paint with wild abandon...OUTSIDE! Materials will be provided for participants to take part in creating some fun art in messy ways. Please be prepared to get messy! Wear clothing you don't mind getting full of paint (just in case). This program is dependent on the weather. If the weather is uncertain, please check the library's website, social media, or call to make sure it is still going to run.
We've extended the deadline for entries to our next photography exhibit until May 15. The theme for this show is "I love books!" so send us photos related to books and reading. Take a selfie with your favorite librarian or bookseller (ask permission first, of course). Photograph a still life of your favorite titles.
Partnering with Parks & Rec we are offering 3 different outdoor craft events featuring tools and materials too messy for indoor use. This is a free event and all materials and supplies are provided.
