Glass Etching

Where
McMillan Makerspace

Join Rob and Kristen in the Makerspace and create your own etched glass mug or pint glass. We will be using the Silhouette Cameo to cut our stencils for etching. Keep in mind we will be using Armour Etch. Armour Etch is comprised of the hazardous chemicals: Barium Sulfate, Sulfuric Acid, Sodium Bifluoride, and Ammonium Bifluoride. All these chemicals are harmful to bare skin and can irritate or even burn it if not washed off immediately. Eye protection and gloves will be available.

Teen Game Day

All-Purpose Room

Teens can come together and play all of the games they want while eating yummy snacks. Teens can bring their own Switch or use one of ours to build a racetrack or you can grab a board game and play with other teens. Either way, we are going to have a good time gaming. Join us at the library to enjoy snacks and chat with other gamers.

Teen Anime Otaku

For this meeting of the Teen Anime Otaku club, we will meet in the Makerspace. Anime & Manga fans, we are making an Anime craft and snacking. It's your last chance to make a t-shirt with your favorite anime characters on them. Interested? Email Miss Alicia at teen [at] mcmillanlibrary.org to sign-up and send her your image details.

We are HMong!: A Cultural Entertainment Presentation

McMillan Library Theater

To help bring awareness and celebrate HMong Heritage in the month of April and Asian Heritage in the month of May, we invite you to join us for a fun cultural night presented by our HMong youth students from the Wisconsin Rapids Area Middle School and Lincoln High School.

 

You will get to see traditional HMong dance performances, a fashion show of many traditional outfits, and so much more about HMong Culture.

 

Join us in this celebration of Hmong Culture and support our HMong youth as they share their beautiful and proud cultural heritage.
