McMillan Book Club

Where
McCourt Room

Join us this month as we discuss The Shepherd's Life by James Rebanks.

A book about continuity and roots and a sense of belonging in an age that’s increasingly about mobility and self-invention. It’s a book about a way of life essentially unchanged for centuries in an era that’s all about change and flux. And it’s a book about a farming family whose history has played out in the fields.

Camp Kitchen Basics for Kids

Where
McMillan Library All Purpose Room

This is a series of three programs for kids age 9-11 (accompanied by an adult) to learn basic kitchen skills. We will be covering how to read a recipe, measuring, food and kitchen safety, and knife skills. Because of the nature of the programs each building on the previous one, it is expected that you will make every effort to attend all three programs. Class size is limited. Registration is required. An adult may accompany up to two children who are in the age range.
